In the last few years, there have been great advances in fabrication of ceramic materials. Advances have increased the scope for use of ceramics in dentistry. Dental ceramics are materials which are now part of systems design for producing dental prostheses. Dental ceramics are used to replace missing or damaged dental structures. These are restorative materials which are referred to as non-metallic compounds. Further scope in dental ceramics can be directed to robust and integrative ceramic implants.
